Bachman Idea House

A couple days ago my friend

Mary and I went and toured

Bachman's Idea House.

The house sits on the Bachman's Floral site

on Lyndale Avenue in Richfield, Minnesota.

Orginaly housing the founding

Bachman family, it is no longer lived in.

 Seasonally, it is repainted and

redecorated, and filled with Bachman products.

And plants and flowers.  Lots of.

Living Room

Dining Room

Great idea for an island in the kitchen.

Table scape ideas.

And above the table.

An upstairs bedroom becomes a den.

Cute bench idea in another bedroom.

Lots of pops of color.

The "wallpaper" in most rooms is stencil.

Easier to paint over than strip, I would imagine.

Their showroom contains lots of Spring

merchandise and even more ideas.

It's all a feast for the eyes and brain.

We ate lunch "outside" at

Patrick's Cafe.

In all, it was a delightful time, if for

no other reason to pick up an additional

bunny or two.

Here's to fresh ideas,

All images by moi.  Thanks, Mary for the use of your phone/camera.

  1. What a great place to spend a day! The decor is really appealing to me and I know I would have loved the shop. Thanks so much for taking us along! :)

    1. Glad you came along. Thanks for the comment!

  2. What a lovely place, Mary. Glad you had a nice time.

I have that same girl statue holding her dress on my post today. :~)

    Have a happy week.

  3. That looks like a little piece of heaven to me right now! Does it cost to get in?

    1. Yes, $5. But it's worth it, I guess!

  4. This is the first Idea House
that I've missed in a long time,
so I was delighted to read your
post and see what I missed!

The house is always over the
top, but I usually come away
with a great idea or two. And
Patrick's is a nice little respite,
    isn't it?

    Happy Friday,
    xo Suzanne
